Nadia Asparouhova (formerly Nadia Eghbal) is a researcher, author, and ethnographer dedicated to understanding the social dynamics of open-source software, digital infrastructure, and online intellectual communities.

She is the author of Working in Public: The Making and Maintenance of Open Source Software (Stripe Press), a landmark study analyzing how modern open-source developers work, organize, and sustain digital infrastructure. Formerly leading researcher programs at GitHub and Substack, she is currently a writer and editor at Asterisk magazine, with research supported by Emergent Ventures, the Ford Foundation, and Harvard University.
