Michael Stapelberg is a senior systems engineer and open-source contributor, formerly a software engineer and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Google.

He is the creator and longtime maintainer of i3, the popular tiling window manager for Linux. An early adopter and prominent contributor to the Go ecosystem, he created Debian Code Search, the gokrazy appliance platform for Go, and the router7 Go-based small-office/home-office router firmware, having also served for many years as a core Debian Linux developer.
