About
Armin Ronacher (widely known online as mitsuhiko) is an Austrian open-source programmer, systems architect, and Principal Software Engineer at Sentry.
He is one of the most influential figures in the modern Python and Rust ecosystems, having created the ubiquitous web framework Flask, the Jinja template engine, Click, and Werkzeug—which together formed the foundation of the Pocoo and Pallets open-source organizations. In recent years, he has played a pivotal role in the architecture of Sentry and pioneered modern developer tooling such as Rye and InstaClick.
On his longstanding technical blog lucumr.pocoo.org, he publishes authoritative essays on system architecture, programming language design, API ergonomics, open-source economics, and the practical challenges of software engineering.
