People in the military and active veterans can now score a bit of a discount on Apple products. Apple launched a new online store in the United States this week, specifically for veterans and active military personnel to purchase Apple products at a discount.
The discounts on products average around 10 percent, although for some products you’ll get a bit more off. For instance, you can purchase an iPhone XS from the military store for $899. At Apple’s traditional online store the handset starts at $999.
Apple has offered discounted products to government employees for a while, but this is the first time it’s done so in a dedicated storefront.
Apple also has the “Apple Store for Education” where full-time students, teachers, and school administrators can score discounts on products. In some cases, the military store offers more significant discounts than the educational one. So, even if you’re a student, this one’s worth a look if you qualify.
